Acclaim at the Hill in Fredericksburg, Virginia, is a 62+ Living community that is a 4 story ground up project designed and built by Bonaventure.
In this project, I was involved in the space planning and programming, being the interior design lead from the planning through construction administration on the project. I specified all finishes, furniture and artwork. Accessory selection by coworker Karla Brown.

In the Lobby, the Double Height space gives a grand sense of entry while maintaining human perspective. The grand fireplace is balanced by the architectural feature wall. Comfy seating groups encourage gathering and interaction

Extending off of the Lobby, The Social Cafe features a large gathering table for community activities as well as a large custom Banquette which allows flexibility of use

The Social Lounge offers loads of options on comfy seating in a bright welcoming environment

The theater room has comfy chairs and a homey feel, carpeting and wallcovering help to elevate the mood

The Patio Lounge is located right off of the Cafe and Social lounges, providing connection to the outdoors and spaces to sit and relax, with a great fire pit and outdoor kitchen

The indoor pool is accessible from the main corridor and from the outdoor patio - increasing the connection to the outdoors

The residential corridors feature spaces for smaller gatherings and independent activities outside of residents' apartments. Bring your favorite book or a deck of cards and enjoy a comfy seat or a quiet conversation.
